Preparation of law to stop marriage registration in Indian state – World

Efforts to spread hatred towards Muslims in India and to make them more controversial do not stop. A lot has happened during the Modi government which has brought things to extremes. All over India, efforts have been made to raise a front against Muslims.

The government of Assam tried to increase the problems of Muslims through the controversial citizenship law a few years ago. Now preparations are being made to strangle Muslims through another controversial law.

Assam Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sharma has told a press conference that a bill is being introduced in the state assembly which aims to prevent ulama (judges) from registering marriages. Anyone can solemnize a marriage, but its registration can only be done by those Qazis who have been officially authorized or approved by the government. Gazetted Judge issues marriage certificate. Now they are being forced not to register all marriages.

The Chief Minister of Assam did not explain why the government-approved judges are being ordered to be stopped from registering marriages. Most Muslims in India marry at a young age. Girls also get married as soon as they reach the official age of marriage. This is the reason why the birth rate is high among Muslims.
