As an extension of the jeprotegemonenfant.fr site, the Government is unveiling the “P@rents, let’s talk digital” label, to provide quality, validated information and training tools to address the challenges of children’s use of digital technology.

Sarah El Haïry, Minister Delegate for Children, Youth and Families, and Marina Ferrari, Secretary of State for Digital Affairs, unveiled the P@rents, let’s talk digital label on March 29. It allows parents to access reliable online resources as well as free workshops, conferences and discussion groups throughout France.

After a test phase in 2023, the P@rents, let’s talk digital project will continue its deployment in 2024. In fact, online resources are complemented by field actions to support digital parenting throughout France. This involves providing parents with the tools to support their children in reasoned and protected use of digital tools. Parents will be able to participate in workshops, discussion groups with other families, and exercises to do with their children, led by experts and associations.

P@rents, let’s talk digital pursues a triple objective:

continue and strengthen support for families in the digital universe through local actions;

harmonize the quality of the offer on the theme of digital parenting;

enhance and strengthen the visibility of actions local to parents.

It translates into two measures:

the labeling of national and local actions on the basis of specifications; the transmission of a kit for certified project leaders. This kit contains key messages and quality resources, as well as communication tools to mobilize.

The specifications for the P@rentsLet’s talk digital labeling are available on the Government website. See also the March 29 press release on the launch of the label
