Jeddah: The information regarding various types of premium iqamas announced for foreigners in Saudi Arabia has been released. A special facility has been set up on the Premium Residency website to find out whether to get Premium Iqama and apply directly if eligible. Eligible candidates of respective category will get Iqama by applying directly on the site. But there are many conditions for this. There are separate eligibility criteria for different types of premium iqamas.
Nine benefits are available to all premium Iqamahs:
Parents, spouses and children can be accommodated in Saudi Arabia.
Wife and children can work.
Relatives can get family visitor visas.
All levies for renewal of Iqama will be waived.
Can work independently in any organization.
No re-entry required.
GCC nationals can go through special gates at the border.
Business can be done in Saudi according to investor rules.
Land can be owned.
Newly Announced Premium Iqamas:
General Information: Iqama fee is 4000 Riyals for all types of Premium Iqamas. Valid passport, medical examination and Saudi Iqama are mandatory for all. Apart from this, these are the special iqamas and the qualifications for obtaining them.
Special Talent Iqama:
The Special Talent Iqama is for professionals working in the fields of health, science and research and high-ranking executives in Saudi institutions.
This category includes five-year renewable iqama and permanent iqama. Nitwakhat conditions will not apply to them. Professionals in the field of health and science applying for this should be earning a monthly salary of at least 35,000 Riyals. In research sector it will be 14,000 Riyals and for executives it will be 80,000 Riyals.
Other qualifications required are employment contract in recognized institutions, degree or above educational qualification, three years of work experience and recommendation letter from the institution. English language skills, patents, awards etc. will also be checked.
Gifted Iqama:
Gifted Iqama belongs to experts in the fields of arts, sports and culture.
Special permission from the Saudi Ministries of Culture and Sports is important for experts in the fields of arts, sports and culture to receive a gifted iqama. Along with that, you must have the ability to live in Saudi Arabia. Those who have received this iqama will also be exempted from the Nitaqat scheme. This category includes five-year renewable iqama and permanent iqama.
Investor Residency:
Investor-Entrepreneur Iqama is for Investors and Entrepreneurs,
To apply for investor iqama for investors, investment license from the Saudi Ministry of Investment, investment of 70 lakh riyals in Saudi Arabia within the first two years and providing employment to a minimum of ten people are the qualifications. Investors will get permanent residence permit. But if 10 people are given job opportunities within the first two years along with investing 70 lakh Riyals, they will get permanent residence Iqama immediately following applying.
Entrepreneur Iqama:
Entrepreneur residency eligibility for entrepreneurs is divided into two categories. In the first category, an investment of four lakh riyals is required. The applicant should also have a minimum 20 percent share in the startup. They will get iqama for 30 months which can be renewed for five years. In the second category, an investment of 15 million Riyals and a 10 percent share in the startup is required. 10 people should be given employment in the first year and 20 people in the second year. They will get permanent iqama as soon as they apply.
Both categories require an entrepreneur license from the Saudi Ministry of Investment and a special letter of recommendation from the firm. Two people can take this iqama in a startup. The first three years will be exempted from Nitakhat.
Real Estate Owner Iqama:
Real Estate Owner Iqama is for real estate businessmen.
Must own or utilize real estate assets of not less than 40 lakh riyals in Saudi Arabia. Property should not be mortgaged. The ownership or use of the property must not be through real estate financing. Type of property should be residential. Valuation of assets should be done by Takheem Authority. These are the criteria for real estate owner residency. The residence permit in Saudi will be obtained according to the ownership of the property.
Early normal premium Iqama is available to anyone on proof of financial security. One lakh Riyals should be paid every year for up to five years or one-time payment of eight lakh Riyals for permanent residence.
