A few days before Halloween, the St-Denis Theater swapped the traditional red carpet for an ebony carpet for the premiere of the musical The Addams Family. The watchword for artists and personalities invited to the event: wear their most beautiful black clothes.
Many of them therefore accepted this invitation from director René Simard to reconnect with Gomez, Morticia and company. This time, the famous Addams clan is reunited on stage to celebrate their traditional annual family party.
Brought to the screen by filmmaker Barry Sonnenfeld in 1991, the characters of The Addams Family were first born in the pages of New Yorker in the 1930s. Gomez, Morticia and their gang finally made the jump to the Broadway stages in 2010, headlined by Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth. The Quebec version of the show counts on the presence of Rita Tabbakh (Morticia), Luc Guérin (Gomez), Alexandra Sicard (Wednesday) and Tommy Joubert (Uncle Fétide) as headliners.

Musical comedy The Addams Family is presented at the St-Denis Theater in Montreal until November 5, then from December 21 to January 7. She will be on display at the Salle Albert-Rousseau in Quebec City for the 2024 Holidays.
