Numerous guests from politics, business, culture and high society came to the premiere of the musical “Mamma Mia” at the Lake Festival in Mörbisch on Thursday evening.

The list of prominent guests from politics is long: Federal Chancellor Alexander Van der Bellen has come to Mörbisch, as has Governor Hans Peter Doskozil, EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn, the two ministers Gerald Karner and Martin Polaschek, and former Governor Hans Niessl. Various ambassadors from countries such as Italy, Ukraine and Israel also attended the premiere of “Mamma Mia”.

Also among the premiere guests: Burgenland’s military commander Gernot Gasser as well as General Robert Brieger and ex-US ambassador Helene von Damm. ABBA musical as a crowd puller
The fact that “Mamma Mia” is being used on the Mörbisch lake stage this year was quickly well received by the audience. All tickets were sold out at the beginning of May – more on that in “Mamma Mia” in Mörbisch sold out. The musical “Mamma Mia” contains 22 hits by the legendary Swedish band ABBA.

In 2016 he already staged the operetta “Viktoria and her Hussar” in Mörbisch. So Gergen is very familiar with the size of the stage. Rehearsals began in early June.
