Licha spoke about Garnacho

Speaking about United, who started last Friday with a narrow victory over Fulham, Lisandro Martínez, defender of the Argentine National Team, said that his teammate Alejandro Garnacho “will have to work hard” to earn a place in Lionel Scaloni’s team.

“He still has a lot to give, his ceiling is unknown. I have a lot of confidence in him. I see him as very mature for his young age. He has incredible talent that, if he knows how to take advantage of it, he can go very far,” said the former Defensa y Justicia player.

“‘Garna’ is just starting out in the national team. It’s not the same as at the club, it’s not easy to get into the team. We’re coming off of winning the World Cup, the Finalissima, and two Copa Américas. He’ll have his place, but he’s going to have to work hard,” added the central defender.

The player, who was trained at Newell’s Old Boys, also stressed that the 20-year-old is happy with the national team: “The most important thing is that I see that he is enjoying himself, like one of us. We all make him feel good. We have a very nice, united group. When you see a united group and everyone is pulling in the same direction, these things happen. It is no coincidence that we keep winning.”
