Initial consultations regarding the Pakistan squad for the home series against Zimbabwe and the tour of New Zealand have been completed.
The international activities of the Pakistan cricket team are starting from next month, while in the third week of November, Pakistan Shaheen is also scheduled to leave for New Zealand along with the Pakistan team.
Therefore, the names of the players for the Zimbabwe home series and the tour of New Zealand are likely to be finalized next week and in this regard, the head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq has completed initial consultations.
Misbah-ul-Haq held preliminary consultations with the coaches of the provincial associations in Multan and now after consultation with fellow coaches the names can be finalized next week.
35 players are likely to be finalized for the tour of New Zealand, the squad will include players from the Pakistan team and Pakistan Shaheen.
Young players will be given a chance in the T20 series against Zimbabwe. Abdullah Shafiq, Zeeshan Malik and Zeeshan Ashraf will be included in the squad while Misbah-ul-Haq has already hinted at a couple of changes in the ODI squad.
Top performers will be included in Pakistan Shaheen. Pakistan Shaheen will play two four-day and six T20I matches in New Zealand, while the Pakistan team will play three ODIs and three T20I matches against Zimbabwe.
In the tour of New Zealand, the Pakistan team is scheduled to play a series of two Tests and three T20 matches.
Pakistan team and Pakistan Shaheen players will be available to other teams.
