The Km 30 and Sanzala markets, in the municipality of Viana, in Luanda, will soon have new stores to install services linked to the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI), he assured on Wednesday, 6, in the capital Angolan, the coordinator of this project, Paula Coelho.
Speaking to the press, regarding a field visit to evaluate the work being developed by the store located in the Luanda Sul market, in the main district of Viana, the person responsible also announced the expansion of PREI services in all markets that do not yet have appropriate facilities.
It also ensured that awareness campaigns were carried out to formalize the economy in the urban district of Zango and in the commune of Calumbo, as well as the promotion of training for micro-entrepreneurs in these locations. Paula Coelho also suggested that PREI might increasingly reinforce the State’s revenue collection process, with a view to helping micro-entrepreneurs to leverage their businesses.
As for the visit to the Luanda Sul store, the source said that the objective is to align all assumptions and check how the RUP collection is going from this market and from street vendors. On the occasion, the PREI coordinator at provincial level highlighted the performance of ‘AGRIPREI’, another aspect that already works in Viana, with an ‘ochitanda’ that handles the products and presents good results.
For his part, the person responsible for the Viana markets, António Domingos, stated that the meeting was to awaken market administrations regarding PREI, a program that has boosted the country’s economy.
