In the latest review video, anchor Richard Leadbetter conducts research on the Nvidia Tegra T239 processor and predicts the specifications of the Nintendo Switch 2 game console. Many current evidences indicate that the processor model of the Nintendo Switch 2 game handheld console will be Nvidia T239. Leadbetter also wrote a related article predicting the performance of the Nvidia T239 processor. Since the Nvidia T239 processor and Nintendo Switch 2 game console were not available, Leadbetter chose the built-in Intel Core i7-1360P CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 GPU (4GB video memory) Dell Vostro as a replacement. The graphics card is downclocked to 750MHz, and the built-in processor is Ampere’s GA107. Leadbetter believes that this parameter is close to the T239 processor. The clock speed of the Tegra T239 processor is not yet known. Taking the Tegra X1 GPU of the first generation Switch game as a reference, it is 768MHz. The GPU clock of Switch 2 will likely be higher than this number. Compared with the Sony PlayStation 4 game console, the performance of the Nintendo Switch 2 mobile phone will likely be similar to or exceed that of the Sony PlayStation 4 game console, and the image rendering effect achieved through DLSS and file decompression engine will be better. Referring to the above simulation test, Leadbetter came to a conclusion: when the Switch 2 game console runs the “Death Stranding” game at 720P, the maximum frame rate can reach 52FPS. With DLSS turned on, the 1080P resolution can reach 34.9 FPS.
