The Freistadt Brass Band Association invited young people from all music clubs in the district to the festive awarding of the achievement badges on Sunday. In total, young musicians earned 207 achievement badges last year: 74 junior achievement badges, 92 bronze achievement badges, 31 silver achievement badges and 10 gold achievement badges.

The district management of the OÖBV Freistadt invited the young talents to receive the badges and certificates they had earned in a ceremonial setting. 172 successful music students from 29 music clubs were brought on stage and cheered by their music club officials, parents and friends. The Freistadt city band contributed the largest number of exams taken last year with 16.

District youth officer Mag. Ulrike Maurer-Pühringer, district bandmaster Mag. Marlies Barth-Miesenberger and district chairman Ing. Franz Jungwirth presented the certificates and badges of the Upper Austrian Brass Band Association. District chairman Franz Jungwirth wished the excellent music students continued enjoyment with music and appealed to them to use the skills they have acquired in the district’s music clubs. A special thank you went to all parents for their support and motivation in learning musical instruments.
