In a precedent of its kind, the judiciary prevailed for a Moroccan woman who suffered health damage as a result of receiving the “AstraZeneca” vaccine at the beginning of the Corona pandemic.

The matter concerns the doctor, researcher at Ibn Tofail College (N.T.), where the first instance chamber of the Administrative Court in Rabat ruled, at the beginning of February of this year, that “the Moroccan state (Ministry of Health and Social Protection) pay to the plaintiff compensation amounting to 250,000,00 dirhams and bear the expenses in The limits of the amount awarded and the rejection of the rest of the requests.”

According to what was reported by media sources, the person concerned suffered from paralysis in her lower limbs and face following receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine, as the vaccine caused her inflammation of the nervous system, which affected the movement of her face and lower limbs.

The same sources reported, quoting the researcher’s professor’s statements, that she “nearly died due to vaccine complications,” noting that “the doctors supervising her case contacted a number of officials at the Ministry of Health level, but there was no response from the relevant ministry,” according to her.

In view of this, the person concerned resorted to the judiciary, where she filed a lawsuit in the matter, demanding justice and compensation for the damages she sustained as a result of receiving the vaccine.

It is noteworthy that the British pharmaceutical manufacturer, AstraZeneca, announced on Wednesday that it had withdrawn its anti-Covid vaccine, “Vaxifria,” which was one of the first vaccines produced during the outbreak of the epidemic, due to what it said were “commercial reasons” and a surplus of updated doses.

It is also noteworthy that the company has sparked controversy over the past few days following its resounding admission that there are fatal side effects of its vaccine once morest the Corona virus, and this following news spread regarding its prosecution in a class action suit due to allegations that its vaccine, which was developed with the “University of Oxford,” caused deaths and injuries. Serious in dozens of cases.
