The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation launched the fourth edition of the Previaje program, with the return of 50% of the expenses in credit to use in the entire tourist chain of the country to those who buy their getaway in advance. For Pami affiliates, the return will be 70%.
The benefit will be for trips between May 24 and June 30, 2023. In this way, the time of the year that, historically, has less tourist activity is enhanced. In this sense, it seeks to boost demand for the extra-long weekends of May and June.
To access Previaje, advance purchases must be made between April 19 and 25, 2023 or until the budget for the fourth edition of the program is used up. To load the vouchers, there will be time until April 28.
“We are very excited regarding the launch of the fourth edition of Previaje, a program that was supported by the entire tourism sector, praised by leaders from different political spaces and that became an example to follow for other countries. With this new edition, there will be no low season in Argentina”, expressed the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, Matías Lammens.
And he added: “We continue to bet on tourism, one of the sectors that leads economic activity and the recovery of registered employment in our country.”
PREVIAJE 4: HOW TO ACCESS THE BENEFIT
As in previous editions, to access the benefit you must upload the receipts on the Web, with a return limit of $70,000.
The PreViaje card can be used in tourist services (travel and excursion agencies, accommodation, car and equipment rental, gastronomy, domestic air transport, long-distance land and tourism) and in cultural consumption (crafts, cinema, galleries, museums, regional products, recitals and theaters) from all over the country until October 31, 2023. It is not necessary for the tourist venue to be registered in Previaje to receive payments with the card.
This new edition of the program will also include an agreement for maximum rates for accommodation services and another with reference prices for tourist packages offered by travel agencies. The complete list can be found on the Previaje website. The control will be in charge of the Secretary of Commerce and the accommodations that do not comply will be sanctioned.
In its first three editions, the initiative benefited 6 million people, with an injection of close to $200 billion for regional economies.
HOW TO SIGN UP FOR THE PREVIEW
- First of all, you have to look for the tourist provider and make sure that it is enrolled in the program.
- Secondly, you have to register as a traveler through My Argentina Level 3, with validation of biometric data. For this, it is important to verify that the CUIL and personal data are correct.
- Thirdly, the “trip” must be created, indicating the origin, destination, date of departure and return, as well as other requested information.
- Fourthly, it is time to upload the advance purchase and reservation vouchers. For this, it is necessary to make sure that they are in the name of the person who does the management, carefully checking the personal data.
- Once the purchase receipts have been uploaded, it will be possible to verify the amount of the benefit, that is to say, the returned credit of 50% of what was spent, which, as in all editions, will have a cap. Before starting the trip, the user will receive the card at home.
- Finally, the user only has to use the credit that was granted. It may be used from the date of the trip, in the entire “tourist chain” of the country.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT THAT CAN BE OBTAINED AS A REFUND?
As mentioned, the Previaje returns 50% of what is spent (70% in the case of being a PAMI retiree) in the form of a credit.
As in the past edition, the maximum withdrawal limit is $70,000.
WHERE CAN YOU SPEND THE CREDIT?
As already mentioned, the credit generated through the Pre-Trip is credited to the traveler’s account from the first day they start their trip and it will be valid throughout 2023.
The credit can be used for all products and services included in the “tourist chain” throughout the country. This does not only imply those benefits directly linked to tourism, but also includes cultural consumption such as tickets to the cinema, theater, musical events and more, as well as to be used in gastronomic establishments.
It is important to mention that, as in previous editions, the credit can be used in any establishment of the “tourist chain”, without the need for said provider to be registered in the program.
CAN THE CARD FROM PREVIOUS EDITIONS BE REUSED?
Those who have already used the Previaje in previous editions will be able to reuse their plastic cards.
