Pre-Elon Musk Twitter blue badges to be removed

It’s not new that Elon Musk has his problems with Twitter verification stamps – especially those granted on the social network prior to his management. The billionaire returned to the subject this Friday when responding to @RiaRevealed, in which the user said that the blue verification seal was outdated, since it was previously suitable for public figures and politicians.

In response to the influencer, Elon musk said that these past blue verification seals would be removed, and that they are “truly corrupt” — although he did not explain why he used that term, since even his profile has this authentication mark .

Rejected by other users in responses, Musk suffered criticism including from the influencer, who called the CEO “ridiculous” for unrestrictedly selling the seal, first, and now wanting to simply erase everything from the past at once. It remains to be seen whether in fact Musk will remove all these seals or whether he will apply some filter or policy to keep those who deserve authentication and others who simply took advantage of loopholes in the system.

In the thread, there are reports of creators who took more than a decade to reach the blue seal — while others spent just $8 to get approval. One way is to try to make the verification rules more transparent and follow them more strictly.

And you, how do you think Musk can solve this situation on Twitter?
