Inspired by Saint Francis Salles, who lived a tender life, Pope Francis wrote that we can pray for the courage to seek and proclaim the truth. The Pope wrote this on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the christening of the Holy Mediator of Journalists through a message posted on Twitter on Thursday, January 26.

The full text of the Pope’s message was:

“On the 100th anniversary of the christening of St. Francis de Sales, mediator of journalists, let us pray together, inspired by him, the saint of tenderness, that journalists seek and speak the truth with courage and freedom”.
