With the Egyptians widely interested in the file of the High Dam, in the midst of a global shortage in the water level caused by climate change, false images have spread through social media platforms, causing confusion.
A picture has spread showing the filling of the High Dam in Egypt following the floods, torrential rains and floods that Sudan witnessed in the past few days, according to what the dealers of those scenes confirmed.
The false image showed what appeared to be a full dam, accompanied by the comment, “Thank God the High Dam is filled,” with the claim that the image is recent.
However, the facts revealed the falseness of this claim, as it turned out that the circulated pictures had nothing to do with the filling of the dam, neither from near nor from afar, according to what was reported by “Agence France Presse.”

The photo also turned out to be on local Egyptian websites in September 2018.
It is noteworthy that this wrong image spread to a large extent at a time when Ethiopia completed the third stage of filling the reservoir of the Renaissance Dam on the Blue Nile, according to what Prime Minister Abi Ahmed announced on August 12.
It also came amid tense relations between Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan over the river file as well.
During the past few days, Sudan witnessed heavy rains that led to floods and torrential rains, which made false news abound regarding this issue.
