PRESIDENT Prabowo Subianto arrived at Andrews Military Base, Washington DC, United States, Sunday (10/11), at around 16.00 local time.
The Head of State’s arrival was welcomed by Acting Chief of Protocol of the United States Ethan Rosenzweig, Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of Indonesia Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir, KUAI of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC Ida Bagus Made Bimantara, Defense Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC Marsma TNI Wisoko Aribowo and Korfung Protkons of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC Gustaav Ferdinandus .
Apart from that, there was also a guard of honor who also welcomed and accompanied President Prabowo to the vehicle. From the airport, President Prabowo and his entourage went straight to the hotel where they spent the night while in Washington DC.

During his official visit, President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to hold a number of meetings, including with United States President Joe Biden. The meeting is planned to be held at the White House, on Tuesday (12/11).
Previously, President Prabowo departed from Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing, for Washington DC on Sunday, November 10 2024, at around 14.40 local time.
While in Beijing, President Prabowo met with President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Qiang and Chairman of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji.

Also accompanying President Prabowo on the visit were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Rosan Roeslani, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
President Prabowo Subianto’s arrival in Washington DC, United States was warmly welcomed by the Indonesian diaspora who were waiting in front of the hotel where the Head of State was staying overnight. In the midst of the cold weather, the enthusiasm of Indonesian people in the United States seemed to warm the atmosphere.
Diana, a diaspora from New York, even left at 4 am. Diana admitted that she had been waiting for the moment to meet Prabowo since 2014.

“From the morning we started coming here, we were late on the bus so we had to double bus and change again but it was okay to meet the President. I cried, I was really touched by our struggle, thank God Pak Prabowo became president. We love you, sir,” said Diana.
Meanwhile, Fauzan, a student studying in the United States, hopes that this visit will bring benefits to bilateral relations between the two countries.
Fauzan hopes that President Prabowo’s meeting with President Joe Biden and a number of officials in the United States can strengthen relations in various fields, such as the economy, security and education.

“Earlier, we as a diaspora were very, very happy to be able to meet the President in the country where we studied. “Moreover, Indonesia’s relations with America, we also learned a lot on campus and we hope that with Pak Prabowo’s visit, these two countries will continue to improve,” said Fauzan.
Memes Wisoko, a member of the Dharma Wanita Pertama (DWP), said the same thing, feeling proud to be able to meet and shake hands with President Prabowo.
