Head of the Presidential Communications Office, Hasan Nasbi, said that President Prabowo Subianto had been preparing for a cabinet retreat at the Military Academy, Magelang, Central Java, since a month before being inaugurated as Head of State.
“This activity was prepared by him and his team one month before he was inaugurated. So, it used funds from Pak Prabowo himself,” said Hasan Nasbi in a written statement, Monday (28/10).
He said that because Prabowo was preparing a ministerial retreat before being inaugurated as President, it was impossible for him to use funds from the State Secretariat.
Hasan also said that Prabowo, who was Minister of Defense at that time, did not use the Ministry of Defense budget to prepare retreat activities.
“So he will bear all the preparation costs himself,” said Hasan.
Previously, Minister for Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers/Head of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency, Abdul Kadir Karding, revealed that President Prabowo Subianto was financing the Red and White Cabinet’s retreat activities at the Military Academy, Magelang, Central Java, with personal money.
