Through a decree read on national television this Saturday, July 15, 2023, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya awarded the rank of Commander of the National Order of Merit of the Republic of Guinea posthumously to Professor Lansiné Kaba.
Professor Emeritus of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and the University of Illinois in Chicago, bowed out in Conakry in May 2023. In recognition of distinguished service to the nation, the rank of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Guinea was awarded to him posthumously.
Pr Lansiné Kaba, man of culture and historian is the author of several books. Islam, terrorism and tolerance, Letter to a friend on politics and the good use of power and Sheikh Mouhammad Kaba, the saint of Kankan, are among others the works of this eminent professor.
