2023-12-22 15:19:18

JO CHAMPION – 32 ANS

CV_ It was when seeing Laura Flessel win the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 that young Enzo, then aged four and a half, had a revelation. In front of his TV, the child declares to his family that he will devote himself fully to fencing. Born in Guyana and arrived in Guadeloupe at the age of four, he arrived in Paris at sixteen for sports studies. In October 2023, this multi-medalist was named Louis Vuitton ambassador as part of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. A touch-to-touch creative, he practices film photography, exhibits his photos, writes manga, hosts his podcast The Rebound (about failure in the world of sport) and is very interested in fashion (can’t wait for the next Louis Vuitton fashion show).

2023 ?_ « My bronze medal at the World Fencing Championships last July. This is the third year in a row that I have won a medal at the world championships. This one is special, because this year was complicated with my injuries (cracked tendons, etc.). I am very proud of my performance. »

Ton podcast The Rebound ?_ « I started from the observation that with the Olympics approaching, there will be a lot of pressure and demands… As athletes, we are not necessarily ready for that. Generally, the general public only sees the athlete as such, but not the person behind it. But we are human beings like everyone else… This podcast allows athletes to tell their stories and humanize them a little more. »

2024 ?_ « I’m going to start making my podcasts in video format on Youtube. The first will be filmed these days. There will also be the release in May of the second volume of my manga Enzo. And I am preparing a photo project in cooperation with the International Olympic Committee, between now and the Paris 2024 games.”
