In the intense storm that hit Córdoba in the last few hours and, in the case of the Capital, accumulated more than 73 millimeters of rain, it also caused power outages, some of which persisted this Monday morning.
According to Epec, the outages were due to the outage of 15 of the more than 400 medium voltage distributors in the Capital.
“The most complicated part is the city center. The large amount of water rises to the sidewalks and then enters the transformation chambers, causing the service to go out of service,” spokesman Alfredo Camponovo told Cadena 3.
He added that other affected points in the Capital are: the Tejas del Sur and Hipódromo neighborhoods (in the south), and the Santa Ana, Villa El Libertador and Argüello neighborhoods.

“We have a lot of large trees falling on the lines. There are six distributors out of service, of which three are completely affected. The most important outages cover areas of Los Aromos, La Paisanita and the Autódromo sector,” said Camponovo when asked regarding the situation in Alta Gracia.
“We are working with reinforced crews, but we cannot estimate a time to restore services because they depend on the damage in each case,” he concluded.
