More than 7,200 Quebec homes were still plunged into darkness overnight from Monday to Tuesday, due to power outages caused on the Hydro-Quebec network.
The state corporation reported in its report shortly before 1 a.m. some 7,259 households without electricity, the majority of them in the Montreal region.
Thus, more than 6,345 Hydro-Quebec customers were waiting to be reconnected in Montreal, while the outages recorded in the Outaouais and Quebec City were resolved.
In addition to the 750 customers deprived of electricity in Montérégie, dozens of blackouts also persisted in the Laurentians (48), in Estrie (46) and in Centre-du-Québec (24).
Hydro-Québec agents were still busy Tuesday morning to solve the problems inherent in the interruptions which have still not been restored in the province.
