Rep. Jeong Jin-seok, who is the vice-chairman of the National Assembly, has been appointed as the new chairman of the People’s Power.
People’s Power Floor Leader Kwon Seong-dong met with reporters following the parliamentary meeting held at the National Assembly this followingnoon and said, “I asked National Assembly Vice-Chairman Jeong Jin-seok to serve as the emergency response committee chair, and the vice-chairman of the government accepted it.”
“When I was looking for a candidate for the new vice chairperson, the first candidate that came to mind was Vice-Chairman Jeong Jin-seok,” said Kwon.
He continued, “Vice-Chairman Jeong served as the floor leader, and he is serving as the vice-chairman with the trust of lawmakers. I finally agreed,” he added.
He said, “I don’t know much regarding our party,” he said.
Regarding the criticism that the Vice-Chairman of the government is a member of the National Assembly, Kwon said, “The Vice-President of the Government has never held a position as a leader in the primary or the main election. question,” he replied.
Regarding the poor relationship between Vice Chairman Lee Jun-seok and former Chairman Lee Jun-seok, he said, “I think that any party member can criticize former Chairman Lee Jun-seok. there,” he said.
