Power of 5G: Samsung Exynos 5300 modem reaches up to 10 Gbps speed with 4nm lithography

According to Samsung, the Exynos 5300 is capable of providing downloads with up to 10 Gbps and uploads with up to 3.87Gbps in 5G SA and NSA networks with ultra-low latency and support for FR1, FR2 and EN-DC technologies.

In addition, the modem also supports cross connections, which means that it can use more than one network at the same time to optimize data transmission, such as 5G, LTE, 3G and 2G.

In 4G LTE networks, the modem is capable of providing downloads with up to 3.0 Gbps and uploads of 422 Mbps with the advantage of consuming less battery compared to the Exynos 5123, as the new model is manufactured with 4nm lithography, which guarantees greater energy efficiency.

Detailing a little more, the Exynos 5300 is composed of a modem, a power modulator, a buffer clock, phase matrix, antenna module and PMIC, in addition to an integrated PCIe for mobile data connection, which allows it to achieve high speeds with very low latency.

Finally, Samsung claims that the new modem has already been verified and certified to international connectivity standards with support for 3GPP’s 5G NR version 16. In short, this means that it is compatible with all global service providers.
