Power failure in the southern inner city of Halle (Saale) – traffic lights failed, judicial center cleared – you are Halle

There is currently a power outage in the southern part of the city. Affected are, for example, Turmstraße, Merseburger Straße and Kirchnerstraße.

Traffic lights have also failed, for example at Riebeckplatz. The Justice Center has been evacuated. Supermarkets are also affected.

By switching over in the medium-voltage grid, a large part of the areas that were not supplied might be supplied with electricity once more. Due to a double fault, the area between Julius-Ebeling-Strasse, Thüringer Strasse, Türkstrasse and Karl-Meseberg-Strasse is currently not supplied.

According to the municipal utility, since 11.50 a.m. there has been a medium-voltage fault in the network of the Halle Stadtpark substation, which supplies the southern city center and Lutherplatz/Thuringian train station with electricity.

The employees of Energieversorgung Halle Netz GmbH have been on site since the fault was reported and are working hard to find the fault. The error localization can lead to short-term power switching on and off.

According to initial information, an excavator damaged a line.
