An agricultural machine intended to dig up potatoes caught fire this Tuesday around 5 p.m. while the tractor to which it was attached was going down the Chaussée de Namur (N4) and was approximately halfway between the so-called Decathlon roundabout. and the Wavre fire station.
Realizing that the machine was on fire, the tractor driver stopped and was able to detach it and bring it to safety.
The firefighters, located a few steps away, intervened and quickly brought the flames under control, which at times rose to at least twenty meters high.
No one was hurt.
The origin of the fire remained undetermined at the time of reporting.
