The Post Office must promote an electronic auction to sell 86,391 items considered “waste”. In other words, objects that had unsuccessful delivery attempts and were unable to be returned to the sender.
In some cases, the recipient did not contact the Post Office to collect the object and, following 90 days, these items can be auctioned. According to the state-owned company, the event will be held online on January 16th. at this web address.
Within the platform, the auction is identified by number 1030723. The notice is available in Options > List Documents. Proposals can be made until 9am on 16/01 and the competition will take place at 2pm.
To access the electronic system and send proposals, interested parties must register at Banco do Brasil branches, obtain an identification key and personal password.
The notice provides that, as long as they are registered, individuals and legal entities can bid in the auction, and it is possible to make an offer for one or more lots, considering the minimum value of each one.
The minimum bid is R$10,695.34 for the lot of office items. The highest starting bid is R$268,788.51 for the equipment lot.
Among the items available for auction, you can find clothes, books, jewelry, household items, office supplies, children’s items, various equipment, vehicle parts and accessories.
If desired, auction participants can visit the warehouse in the city of São Paulo (SP) to see all available items. Opening hours are from 8am to 11am and from 1pm to 4pm, and prior booking is required.
