The Maison de santé project is moving forward in Bienne. The land at rue d’Aarberg 72 belongs to the City, but it is the company Kimball SA which is in charge of building this future center there. The institution will focus on old-age provision and specialized outpatient medical care. It should be noted that the Biel Hospital Center will be the main tenant of this future establishment.
Four construction projects responded to the call for tenders. It was the “LIGHT” folder from the “:mlzd:” architecture office that stood out. “The most important element in our opinion is the new facade cladding made up of photovoltaic modules”, points out Marc Kaufmann, member of the board of directors of Kimball SA and director of the Residenz au lac in Bienne.
The four construction projects were on public display at the Residenz au lac until Thursday. “We had an astonishing number of visitors, which shows that the project has been well received”, rejoiced Marc Kaufmann.
Given the current state, construction of this skills center should begin in 2024. The opening is scheduled for 2026. /ddc
