Tourists were well present on the Belgian coast despite the unpredictable weather. Walloons represented 20% of tourists.
Environ 1.1 million day tourists visited the Belgian coast during the Easter holidays in Flanders, or an increase of 9%, reports the Westtoer tourist office. Some 1.5 million people also spent the night there, like last year. Indoor attractions, museums and events have attracted more interest due to the unpredictable weather.
