Porzingis smashes, Washington ‘sweeps’ Detroit; Charlotte surprises Utah; NY finishes very strong in Miami; Houston wins at Portland

With 30 points (11/22) and 10 rebounds from Kristaps Porzingis but also 21 points and 10 rebounds from Deni Avdija off the bench, the Wizards beat Detroit for the 4th time in as many games this season. Charlotte with 26 points (9/15, 11 rebounds, 4 assists) from Miles Bridges, 25 points (9/20) from Terry Rozier and 21 points (9/22, 4 rebounds, 5 assists) from LaMelo Ball got rid of Donovan Mitchell’s Jazz (26 points), who missed 2 clutch shots in the last minute. Rudy Gobert finished with 11 points at 5/7 and 19 rebounds. The Knicks carried by an Immanuel Quickley author of 20 of his 23 points in the last quarter, ended their match on a fatal 38-19 at the Heat in Miami. Finally Houston, with 23 points 9/16 (5/10 from afar) from Jalen Green, dominated Portland.
