PORTUGAL has extended its contract as host for the MotoGP race at the Algarve International Circuit, Portimao, for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
“We are very happy to announce that we will be racing in Portugal for at least two more years. Since the first time we went to the Algarve, the place has become a favorite for many fans and racers,” said Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta in an official statement, Wednesday (25 /9).
Ezpeleta added that the Algarve Circuit in Portimao combines special racing locations so that it is easy to attract fans to watch the race there.
“Not only is it a beautiful place to race, but the event has improved every year, and we are very proud to be able to deliver
positive economic, sporting and social impact on the area,” said Ezpeleta.
“We hope to meet our fans again in Portugal in 2025 and 2026,” he added.

for several days, including spectators and staff from the competing teams,” he continued.
Furthermore, Algarve International Circuit Director Jaime Costa said he was honored to be able to hold the Grand Prix again in the MotoGP event.
“The Portuguese GP and our track, with its unique features on the calendar, are already a benchmark for riders and teams.”
Costa emphasized.
