Porsche, new hints for entering F1 Trademark the term “F1nally”[F1-Gate.com]

Porsche has filed a trademark application for the term ‘F1nally’ in Germany. Gave further hints regarding entering F1.

The possibility of Porsche’s F1 entry has been discussed for some time, and it is believed that it will partner with Red Bull as an engine supplier in 2026 when the new F1 power unit regulations are introduced.

According to Moroccan government documents leaked last month, Porsche will enter F1 from 2026 and acquire a 50% stake in Red Bull Technologies. His partnership with Red Bull Racing is listed for 10 years.

After Honda pulled out of F1 at the end of 2021, Red Bull now uses Honda engines under the name Red Bull Powertrains. Furthermore, an extension contract was recently signed with HRC (Honda Racing), which runs Honda’s racing activities, under which Honda will provide technical support to Red Bull until 2025.

After that, Red Bull will form a partnership with Porsche from 2026, and it is believed that Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Alpha Tauri will be equipped with an F1 power unit developed and manufactured jointly with Porsche.

Porsche’s F1 entry has already become an open secret, but has not yet been officially announced as the FIA World Motorsport Council has not approved the F1 power unit regulations for 2026.

Helmut Marko, Red Bull F1’s motorsport adviser, told F1-Insider.com: “I have only heard that the Volkswagen board will decide to enter F1 if the new regulations are approved.”

“Specific criteria have to be met and they are not approved by the World Council. That’s why there are delays.”

However, documents from the German Patent and Trademark Office indicate that an application has been filed to trademark the term “F1nally”. The application was submitted last Wednesday, August 10th.

‘F1nally’ is apparently a coined word combining ‘F1’ and ‘Finally’, and might be used for merchandising related campaigns following Porsche announced its entry into F1. high.

Porsche is not the only Volkswagen Group company planning to enter F1 at the start of a new era in 2026. Audi is in talks to form a team and is believed to be in talks to buy the Alfa Romeo F1 team from Sauber.
