“Make ideas big!” – this was the motto of the Saxon state competitions “Jugend forscht” and “Schüler experimentieren” at Porsche Leipzig yesterday Saturday. 25 young researchers between the ages of ten and 19 presented their work to an expert jury. For the first time, Porsche took on the sponsorship of the junior section “Students experimenting”. This competition is open to young researchers who are at least in fourth grade and are no more than 14 years old.
Eneko Reichert Vicario (14) became the state winner in the junior category “Students experimenting” 2023 in the technology category with his project “Manipulation of objects using acoustic levitation”. In the mathematics/computer science category, Julius Kästner (14), Edgar Schäfer (14) and Frieda Janosch (13) were state winners with their project “Is there an irregular but fair cube?” young MINT talents qualified for the national finals in Bremen from May 18th to 21st, 2023 with the state victory.
