The premiere of the second generation Porsche Macan, which will be electric, will take place the day following tomorrow, and the company decided to demonstrate sketches that reveal all the main features of the new product
Porsche this time especially tried to stir up public interest in its premiere. In December, photographs of the interior of the new Macan were completely declassified, but now we see the exterior – albeit in sketches, but very detailed.
Despite the fact that the appearance did not change radically during the change of generations, the new car in technical terms has nothing in common with the previous one. It is built on a different platform designed exclusively for electric vehicles.
At the moment it is known that the top version will receive more than 600 hp. and 1000 Nm. The power plant will be two-engine, the drive will be all-wheel drive. The capacity of the traction battery is 100 kilowatt-hours. The electrical system will be compatible with high-speed 270-kilowatt charging.
The crossover will receive a rear differential lock and a new air suspension with two-valve shock absorbers.
The new Porsche Macan will go on sale later this year, as will the sister Audi Q6 E-Tron, which was unveiled last September.
