The My Porsche app received an update this Monday (11) that added new features. The novelties seek to make it easier for drivers to manage various functions of the brand’s vehicle from the CarPlay interface, from the Apple.
The update to the Porsche app added the option for drivers to view images of the specific model of the automaker they are driving in CarPlay, as well as sound profiles, radio station and climate controls, and ambient lighting.
Through quick actions in CarPlay, various settings can be set in wellness modes such as “relax” or “warm up” and can be summoned using Siri. The integration system with Apple Music and third-party services has been improved.
“We are excited to further enhance the My Porsche app and use the capabilities of Apple CarPlay to deliver a truly enhanced customer experience,” said Mattias Ulbrich, CEO of Porsche Digital and CIO of Porsche.

Porsche said the move makes it the first car manufacturer to allow easier access to vehicle functions in CarPlay. It is worth remembering that Apple’s plans for CarPlay follow the same lines as changes to the Porsche application.
During WWDC 2022, Apple presented a vision of CarPlay where it integrates more deeply into the vehicle, providing access to in-car features, including communications with real-time systems within the vehicle itself.
It is important to mention that the My Porsche app is not available on the App Store in Brazil, but can be downloaded by users who have an Apple account in Portugal or the United States.
