On Saturday morning, a video spread on Ukrainian social networks, in which it was claimed that the Ukrainian military entered the village of Poroz, Belgorod region.

“I wish you health, battalion 252 is located in the village of Poroz, Belgorod region. Glory to Ukraine!” says one of the five men in military uniform standing near the building with the sign “Porozovsky Village Club” and holding the flag of 252- th battalion and the Georgian flag.

In turn, the governor of Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, after a meeting with the deputy head of the Graivoron city district, Anatoly Blyashenko, and the head of the village, Valentina Koreneva, said that “contradictory information” is being received regarding the situation in the village of Poroz.

“On the one hand, we all saw the video, which was shot against the background of the village House of Culture, on the other hand, the residents who just left say that they did not see the enemy and did not hear the shooting,” he wrote in a telegram.

He added that according to preliminary data, “about 10 people still remain” in the village.

“At the moment, as part of the KTO regime (counter-terrorist operation) announced in the region, the entrance to the village of Poroz is closed,” he said.

He also noted the “tense situation” in the neighboring village of Dunayka.

“Of course, if the operational situation worsens in Dunaitsa, we will take people out. So far, the current state of affairs does not require this. But still, the situation is tense, so I asked that the children be taken out of the village,” Gladkov wrote.

Meanwhile, Russian pro-war Telegram channels began to write about the fact that the video in Poroz was made for “PR purposes”, and in fact “there are no Ukrainian soldiers” in this village.

Voenkor Yury Kotenok wrote that one of the subversive groups “with the number of a detachment in an armored car jumped to the village of Poroz, recorded a short video with flags near the building of the village club on behalf of the “252 battalion” and quickly fled to the adjacent territory.”

The Telegram channel “War on fakes” said that the video spread on the network is allegedly “another element of an informational attack on the audience.”

“There is no Ukrainian Armed Forces in Poroz, which has already been confirmed by Russian military personnel,” the post reads.

The Russian Telegram channel “Baza”, in turn, reported that the police of the Belgorod region apparently received guidance on a subversive group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which “disguises itself as clergymen.”

The Ukrainian side still does not officially comment on the hostilities on the territory of Russia.

The day before, in the Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions of the Russian Federation, a “regime of counter-terrorist operation” was introduced. It provides, in particular, the verification of documents at the entrance and exit to the KTO zone, the disconnection of communication, the possibility of requisitioning by law enforcement officers of transport, the right of law enforcement officers to enter any premises, strengthening the protection of various important objects.

Offensive in the Kursk region

These are settlements 7 and 10 km to the south and north-west of the city. The first village was captured as a result of a battle, and the second – without a battle or with minimal effort.

Russian military telegram channels reported that as of August 8, at least the western part of the city was under the control of the Armed Forces. The fighters of the Ukrainian army did not seem to encounter significant resistance from the Russian forces.

Later, the fighters of the 61st brigade declared that Suja came under the control of Ukraine.

“Our news is this – the city is controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The city is calm. All the houses, all the places are intact,” – declares a Ukrainian military officer on camera.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force from a source close to the military leadership, the Armed Forces of Ukraine really took control of most of the city and the main roads to it, in particular to Kursk, on the evening of August 7.

Also, Ukrainian troops have already bypassed Suzha and continued their active movement to the north, in particular to the villages of Martynivka, Yuzhniy and Nikolsky 6-12 km further.

Meanwhile, the Russian authorities announced the evacuation of civilians from Suji and neighboring areas.
