“It was fun to see how clubs develop,” says Michael Schiemer. The 44-year-old entrepreneur from Puchkirch took over the office of union district chairman 10 years ago – at the time he was the youngest district chairman in Austria. His heart’s desire was mass sport and above all to make exercise palatable for children.
