VATICAN CITY.- The Pope Francis received this Friday in an audience at the Vatican with the American actor and director Sylvester Stallonewho came with his entire family to a meeting marked by good humor.
The Bulletin of the Press Room of the Holy See reported on the audience in which the Pontiff received the famous performer of planetary hits such as “Rocky” and “Rambo”. “We grew up with his movies”Francis told Stallone, who smiled gratefully and, in response, joked with the Pope. “Are you ready to box?” he asked, clenching his fists, a gesture that Francisco also repeated.according to images published by the Vatican News site.
Stallone, 77, arrived at the Vatican accompanied by his wife Jennifer, his three daughters and his brother Frank. “God bless you,” the Pope told the actor at the end of the meeting.
Stallone traveled to Italy to receive honorary citizenship of Gioia del Collea town in Puglia where his father, Frank Stallone, was born.
