Pope Francis’ Twitter message on November 16 promoting social solidarity.
Monsignor Joji Vadakara, Vatican News
The Pope called upon all to see others as neighbours, regardless of social and color differences, to come out of our illusory world of comfort, to avoid indifference towards others and to reach out to everyone.
Through a message given on Twitter on Thursday, November 16, the Pope invited everyone for social solidarity.
“Everyone is our neighbor. It doesn’t matter the color of people’s skin, their social status or where they come from. We are called to meet all the poor and face all kinds of poverty, leaving behind our indifference and contemptible excuses that we use to protect an illusory comfortable life,” the Pope’s message was.
EN: Everyone is our neighbour, regardless of the colour of their skin, their social standing, where they come from. We are called to encounter every poor person and every form of poverty, abandoning our indifference and the banal excuses we make to protect our illusory well-being.
EN: Everyone is our neighbor. It doesn’t matter the color of the skin, the social condition, the origin… We are called to meet every poor person and every type of poverty, shaking off the indifference and obviousness with which we shield an illusory well-being.
