Pope Francis said that following World War II there have been many wars continuously in different parts of the world and we are all saddened by the wars going on in the world today. In a video message given on November 22, the Pope once once more raised his voice once morest the scourge of war, which sows sorrow and death in the world.
The Pope reminded us that we do not realize the lethality of these wars when they are fought in distant countries. But two wars are very close for us, and they force us to respond to them, the Pope said, referring to the wars in Ukraine and the Holy Land.
The Pope reiterated that the conflicts unfolding in the Holy Land are extremely painful. The Pope stated that the people of Palestine and Israel have the right to live in peace. Papa reminded them that both of them are brothers.
In his message, the Pope called on everyone to pray for the dawn of peace in the Holy Land. Wishing that the disputes between the two countries be resolved through negotiations and peace talks, the Pope reminded that peace is not established by heaps of dead people. The Pope concluded his message with a call to prayer for the Holy Land.
In recent days, the Pope has allowed various delegations from Palestine and Israel to meet.
