Pope Francis: Lord help Lebanon | Policy

Pope Francis presided over the Christmas Mass, and said in his speech: “Lord, help Lebanon to be able to recover with the support of the international community and with the strength of brotherhood and solidarity.”

He also called for an end to the “reckless” war in Ukraine, condemning the use of food as a “weapon” in war.

He added, “Our time is experiencing conflicts in Syria, the Holy Land, Lebanon, the coast and Yemen… May the Lord direct these regions towards peace and bring reconciliation to the American continent, Myanmar and Iran, so that all bloodshed stops.”
