One of the main hypotheses handled by investigators of the crime of Harold Canelo Crespin (40), the mason whose Body It was found dismembered, last August 18, in a vacant lot in Pontevedra, Merlo’s district of Buenos Aires, is that the man would have been the victim of a “macrabre plan elaborated with time”, by his partner and two other people, with the intention of being stripped of his house, his car and other belongings, the sources indicated.
For the investigators, the woman with whom Canelo Crespín would have had a relationship, Eliana Rocío Anabela González (36), it was “the brain” of the plan and would have committed the crime with another man, Victor David Lujan. Both were detained accused of being co-authors of “qualified homicide”. Meanwhile, Eliana’s aunt, Norm Beatriz Gonzalez, was indicted for “concealment”.
According to the prosecutor in charge of the Functional Investigation Unit No. 6 of the Judicial Department of Morón, Sergio Dileo, the crime motive would have been the seizure of all assets of the mason, who lived alone and did not have relatives or friends.
The sources also assured that the case is “practically cleared up” thanks to the confession of Norm Gonzalez, and to the statements of neighbors, who confirmed the link that the main accused had with the victim.
“We already have all those involved arrested and the case is 95 percent clarified. Only some skills are missing and we are closing the circle,” A source with access to the judicial file told Télam. And he highlighted: “The speed with which they worked” to discover the criminal maneuver.
“A macabre plan elaborated with time”
“He met Eliana at church, they had been in a relationship for a year or two. He said he was fine, happy, but he was very reserved,” said Julio, a neighborhood resident, in statements to the Cortá por Lozano program. Canelo Crespín “worked hard to build his house, he built it little by little, with the little he earned, he bought the materials and built it,” held.
The main research hypothesis is that “the macabre plan was elaborated with time”, by Eliana González and Víctor David Luján, from the moment in which women “He realized that his victim had no relatives in the country and was alone.”
According to the reconstruction of the facts, Eliana hit Canelo Crespín on the head with a bottle, and he passed out; then, Luján stabbed him several times. Posteriorly, they dismembered him and placed his remains inside a bag used to load sand. Finally, they threw him a hundred meters from his own house, at 1245 Mirror Street in the Buenos Aires town of Pontevedra, in the Merlo district.
Finding
On Thursday, August 18, around 5:00 p.m., four 12-year-old boys who were playing soccer in a vacant lot located on Calle Espejo, between Portela and Victorino de la Plaza, found the mutilated body of Canelo Crespin and notified a neighbor, who called 911.
The corpse was face down, without its members and with a red shirt raised to the shoulders, inside a half-open bag. Also found at the scene was a black sports bag with two knives, a white saw blade, a green patterned blanket, a white sheet with red accents, a striped shirt and a jean with a black belt, all clothes with blood stains. .
The autopsy showed that Canelo was killed with at least three stab wounds to the neck and that he had multiple stab wounds to the head, chest and back, as well as blows.
Eliana González and David Luján refused to testify in their respective inquiries; while the Eliana’s aunt, Norma González, said that her niece and Luján killed the mason.
“She (Norma González) declared that she is innocent, that she did not know what had happened, that she only took her niece to the place in her car,” an investigator told Télam. However, she “was implicated as a result of the contradictions”, since she had also said that her niece “He wanted to keep the house and the victim’s Ford Escort, that is, he already knew regarding the criminal plan,” closed the fountain.
