On Friday, the funeral ceremonies for the late actor Peter Simonischek took place in and around the Vienna Burgtheater. First, the audience had the opportunity to say goodbye to him. The coffin was laid out on the grand staircase. Burgtheater director Martin Kušej and former director Karin Bergmann spoke at the funeral service. At the entrance in the side wing on the Volksgarten side, fire blazed on high steles. Finally, the coffin was carried around the Burgtheater in a carriage.
