Christos Konstantopoulos meets the poet Nikos Kavadias. Giorgos Rigas on guitar. The performance – a tribute to the great poet Nikos Kavadias “travels” to the garden of the “Polyedros” in Patras, on Thursday, August 8, at 9 in the evening. After the successful performances at the historic “Apanemia” boutique in Plaka, the performer Christos Konstantopoulos “meets” the poet Nikos Kavadias again – this time in the garden of the historic “Polyedros” in his hometown, Patras – as he experienced him through his historical poetry collections “Marabou”, “Poussi” and “Traverso”, from his emblematic novel “Vardia” but also from “The diary of a helmsman” with the treasured works of the poet, that is, those that have been published from time to time in various magazines, newspapers, anthologies etc. as well as through the emblematic compositions of Thanos Mikroutsikos, Mariza Koch, Yiannis Spanou et al.
The performer navigates the world of the Armenian poet “of great journeys and blue dots” through the sometimes fragile and sometimes dynamic musical patterns of the guitarist Giorgos Rigas.

BIOGRAPHIES OF CONTRIBUTORS
Christos Konstantopouloswas born in 1985, in Patras. He attended music lessons (theory, solfège, harmony), voice and guitar at the Paganini conservatory in Patras. He also attended vocal lessons with the National Opera’s soprano Despina Katsari, in Athens as well as a two-year Music & Vocal Exploration Seminar at the Pythagorean Conservatory in the spring of Attica.
He debuted in the discography in 2011 singing 4 songs on the album of Noti Mavroudis In time the hatches. Since 2010, he collaborated with the composer, performing over 50 concerts and musical performances throughout Greece.
In 2014 he released his first personal album “Destination” with music by Christos Konstantopoulos and Giorgos Diplas and lyrics by Dionysis Karatzas, Christoforos Balapanides, Christos G. Papadopoulos, Nikis Konstantopoulos, Konstantinos Magni and Nikos Ladikos.
In 2017 he released the song “Scouria” with music by Christos Theodoros and lyrics by Manos Orfanoudakis and in 2018 he presented his new song entitled “The opposites together” with music by Christos Theodoros and lyrics by Nikos Moraitis.
He has collaborated with the Polyphonic Choir of Patras (a tribute to Manos Hadjidakis & Mikis Theodorakis) at the Archaeological Museum of Patras, the Patraiki Mandolinata (a tribute to the rebetiko song), the Female Vocal Ensemble Aticho (a tribute to Nikos Kavvadias), a Tribute to the composer Thanos Mikroutsikos etc. a.
On television, he has appeared on the programs To our health, children, by Spyros Papadopoulos (ERT), Friends make history by Seraphim Fyntanidis (ERT), Great Greek composers (ERT), etc.
He has collaborated with renowned composers and singers: Yiannis Spanos, Angélique Ionatos, Eleni Vitali, Manolis Mitsias, Iota Nega, Miltos Paschalidis, etc.
From time to time, he presents his own musical performances in musical stages and theaters of Greece (Half Note, Athenaeum, Ianos, Parnassos Philological Association, Sphinx, Ilion Plus, The Train On The Roof, Foundry, Agora, etc.)
George Rigas was born in 1998 in Athens. He studied classical guitar and theory at the Filippos Nakas Conservatory with teacher Giorgos Tosikian, from where he received a guitar diploma with a grade of “Excellent”, while at the same time he was admitted to the Department of Theater Studies of the University. He continues his studies in advanced theories with professor Michalis Kefalas.
He is a student at the Hellenic American University where he was admitted with a scholarship to study in the music department specializing in Film Scoring with professor Giorgos Xulogis.
He is also a student of the guitarist, composer and conductor Manolis Androulidakis in the subject of arranging works by Greek composers for the classical guitar.
At the same time, he has attended classical guitar seminars and masterclasses with teachers Noti Mavroudis, Giorgos Mouloudakis, Giorgos Behlivanoglou, Michalis Kontaxakis, Ana Vidovic, etc. and has taken part in guitar festivals all over Greece.
He has performed works of the classical guitar repertoire in various concert venues and has given guitar recitals of his transcriptions of works by Greek composers.
He has collaborated with singers in guitar-voice duets, with chamber music groups and has been a member of guitar orchestras as well as groups playing acoustic and electric guitar. Also, he has coexisted as a guitarist with important artists such as Christos Leontis, Pantelis Thalassinos, Manolis Mitsias, Kostas Thomaidis.
