The former first lady of the DRC, Olive Lembe Kabila continues to harbor the hope of seeing her husband once more at the head of the DRC. In a declaration in Goma, a copy of which reached our editorial staff, she indicates that the mission entrusted to the former Head of State by God has not been completed and that he should return to perfect his work.
“He is “Joseph Kabila” the father of democracy in this country, he is the father of what we call peaceful change in our country. God places a gift in every human being. Me personally, as I see, God still needs to use it. Father God, to convince Joseph Kabila Kabange that he returns to politics and helps us. Let him not just stand there studying and watching us,” she said.
For her, Joseph Kabila is the cartridge we need if we want to experience peace in the DRC. “Joseph Kabila must return to power through democratic means, he ended the war with pens. He succeeded in reunifying the country. I ask him to return to politics to save these people.”
Note that Olive Lembe never supported her husband’s departure from the supreme office. In all her statements, the former first lady suggests an accentuated desire to continue to dominate at the head of the country.
