Politician’s glamorous wife flees Ukraine with bags of millions of dollars

Since the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine On February 24, 3,556,924 Ukrainians fled the country.

However, a resounding surprise came after it was revealed that Seydou Fatina fled with millions of dollars, only to find out later that she was the wife of a prominent Ukrainian businessman and politician.

It was found that Anastasia Kotvitska, the wife of the controversial former deputy and Ukrainian uranium magnate, Igor Kotvitsky, carried in her bags 28 million dollars and 1.3 million euros in cash through a refugee border crossing to the European Union, according to local media.

But the Hungarian customs authorities at the border crossing located the money in Kotwiecka’s luggage, and a criminal case was opened to determine the circumstances of the incident.

“Rumors”

However, Igor Kotvitsky, one of the richest deputies in the world,UkraineHe said that his wife was on her way to leave the country to give birth in Europe, denying reports that she was carrying all those millions.

He also added, before closing his account on social media, that “all his money is in Ukrainian banks, and nothing has come out,” stressing that the story is “fake and rumours.”

Anastasia, who is said to have been accompanied by her mother and two Hungarian men, has not commented on the border incident.

Calls for a criminal investigation

But several allegations have spread in the last period, indicating that the wife did not announce the huge amount of cash that came out of Ukraine at the Hungarian Filuk checkpoint, but that the money was found by Hungarian customs officers, according to the Ukrainian newspaper “Oposrivatel”.

Then the lady announced that she had brought the money to Hungary, from one of the European Union countries.

Currently, there are calls for a criminal investigation of Ukrainian border guards at the crossing in the country’s Transcarpathian region, as this amount of money flowing out of the country has allegedly been turned a blind eye.

In this context, the Ukrainian businessman, Syar Khoshotov, who exposed the Anastasia Kotvitska case, explained that there is a “tariff” on bribes imposed by Ukrainian customs officials to enable cash to leave the country illegally.

Great sensitivity

It is noteworthy that Igor Kotvitsky controls the nuclear power systems in Ukraine, and uranium deposits in the country. He is also seen as having close business and political links with the former Ukrainian Interior Minister, Arsen Avakov.

The Ukrainian people are very sensitive to the country’s wealthy elite, who seek to smuggle their money and wealth abroad to evade the restrictions of capital flight.
