14:00 to fifteen:30: AI and democracy: exploring world affect by means of the lens of UNESCO’s advice.
The fast improvement of digital applied sciences, knowledge, automation and synthetic intelligence has raised excessive expectations and issues, particularly concerning their affect on democracy and politics. This panel will discover how generative synthetic intelligence and associated applied sciences are reworking democratic dynamics and influencing public discourse. We’ll launch and focus on UNESCO’s coverage paper, developed with Daniel Innerarity, which addresses the affect of huge knowledge on democracies, the legitimacy of algorithmic decision-making and which offers suggestions for the democratic governance of AI.
