Poland’s match against the United States is Wednesday’s final match at Place de la Concorde. Around 11 p.m., seven Polish journalists arrived late. Some of us worked for a long time at Roland Garros, where Iga Świątek reached the semi-finals of the tennis championship. Others came straight from the pool, where Krzysztof Chmielewski competed for medals (he finished fourth).

After working in different facilities, we were curious to see how our basketball players would perform against Team USA. But our curiosity remains unsatisfied. It’s not malice, it’s confusion. Volunteers often mislead reporters to media entrances.
That’s what’s happening here. When we arrived at the one that was open to us the day before, we found that it was closed this time. Fans were allowed to leave the facility, but no one was allowed inside. Well, unless someone is from the “Olympic Family”.
It was difficult, but the most important thing is our basketball players won. We will come back here again!
The Poles defeated the Americans
Piotr Wesołowicz writes about the match between Poland and the United States: The Polish 3×3 basketball players once again made us nervous in the evening, but this time they won with an exciting ending! The white team and the red team defeated the American team 19:17. That means one thing – we’re still in contention for medals.
With four minutes to go we were already leading 15-9, but anyone who follows the 3×3 rules knows that such an advantage means nothing. With two and a half minutes left, after Canning Barry made a free throw, the score was only 17:15.
Finally something crucial happened. 68 seconds before the end, Sokolovsky made one of two free throws and we led 19:17. Team USA had the ball, and they also had Jimmer Fredette, one of the legends of 3×3 basketball and a super scorer. But he missed the most important throw of the game, and after another tight end, we couldn’t get the win this time.
