On Friday August 18, a policeman killed a 22-year-old boy in Oupeye. The latter was riding a quad when two police officers asked him to stop. According to the prosecutor of the Liège prosecutor’s office, “for a reason still unknown, the driver did not comply”. One of the police officers would therefore have shot him twice.

Since then, several riots have broken out in Oupeye, where many people have risen up once morest the police. Several arrests have taken place. During one of them, a 24-year-old young man was arrested by the police following they found fourteen molotov cocktails in his car. They also found gasoline there, as Sudinfo reports.
