Slope movements had led to tension on the ropes, the country said in a release. The unusual use was the best option to solve the problem, it said. Direct work on the electricity pylon with a 110 kV TINETZ line was therefore impossible for safety reasons.
Road Closed
A total of seven and therefore all power cables were separated from the affected mast, according to a spokesman for the country. Before the Cobra deployment, the operational area, including the road, cycle and hiking trail network as well as five households, was secured over a large area. Among other things, Landecker Straße (L76) in the Schlossgalerie area was briefly closed.
The work has now been completed and the road has been reopened to traffic. It was announced that the network operator TINETZ will now build a replacement electricity pylon. The power supply was never restricted.
