Miami, May 3 (EFE).- The Florida Police are looking for Al Stenson, 38, for his possible involvement in four first-degree murders, of a mother and her 3 children, in an event recorded in an apartment in Lake Wales, a city in Polk County, in the center of that state in the southeastern United States.
Lake Wales Police Chief Chris Velasquez said Wednesday that it is known exactly where Stenson is hiding at this time and is working “to apprehend him in the safest way possible.”
During a press conference next to the apartment complex where the victims lived, Velásquez called the event a “tragedy” for this Florida town.
Police authorities believe that Stenson may have been responsible for the death of the four victims, an event that occurred late Tuesday night.
Police officers, following obtaining the arrest warrant, located the area where Stenson is hiding and are working to arrest him.
The information previously provided by the Police specified that Stenson was wanted for his involvement in the case, since it is believed that he lived in the apartment and that he might have been injured.
The Police initially reported that his relationship with the four fatalities was unknown and he was not directly identified as a suspect in the crime.
The new information indicates that the mother was 40 years old and her children 21, 17 and 11 years old.
The finding came following local police responded to a call to emergency services at an apartment complex called Sunrise Park.
When officers arrived at the crime scene, they found three children and one adult dead from gunshot wounds.
The police then specified that in relation to this event they were looking for Al Stenson, who is believed to have lived in the apartment and who might also have been injured.
Neither Velásques nor other authorities provided information on the reason for the shooting.
